When in doubt, just add glitter.

Hey there!
I was sat in the garden the other day and there was a rustling noise next to me.
A little mound of earth appeared.  We have a mole!
I know lots of people think of them as pests, but this little guy isn't doing anyone any harm.
It is funny though, watching my dh inspect the grass and borders every morning for new signs of activity.
What is it with men and their lawns?? :-)

Anyway - on to my card.

This is my take on Bev Buenker's fabulous Muse card.
I followed her overall design, but opted for summer colours.

The little birdy was a last minute addition. I just thought, that corner, needed something.
I tried hard to add a butterfly, but I am about as au fait with them, as I am with flowers!

A little birdie told me

Hey everyone,
just a quick post from me this afternoon.
The sun is shining and I'm going to have a couple of hours, in my garden chair, with a good book.

First - here's my MUSE card for this week.

As soon as I saw Marion's inspiration card, I knew I wanted to use this stamp.
It's part of a larger stamp set so I've overlooked it before, but it is kinda cute.

I layered the image onto some blue card and then some white card
and popped it up on foam pads.
I was brave, for once, and stamped my sentiment straight onto my card base ;-)

Hey there!

So, I was rummaging around in my bits & pieces box, and came across this ready made tag.
This has probably been in my stash for about 10 years...   I'm not kidding!
When I first started making cards I would buy these topper things, stick them on a card base,
with a silver 'happy birthday' sticker and I was done.  Ha ha!  How things have changed.

I used the colours on the tag as my starting point - although they do look a little washed out on my photo,
and I got my layout inspiration from the Case study challenge

To echo the challenge card's circles, I used my star stamp. Stamping excess ink off onto some scrap paper and then stamping on my card base, so that it comes out much fainter. This is the first time I've tried this and I like the result it gives.

Go with the flow

Hey everyone, hope you're all well.
After a glorious weekend here, we are back to cloudy skies and drizzle.
Just the way I like it :-)

Here's my card for this week's Muse challenge.
When my mojo has deserted me and I'm struggling for inspiration I always find the Muse blog so helpful.

I pretty much stuck to the design of  Therese's gorgeous card,
stamping my flowers and then masking them to stamp the leaves/swirls.
I added a banner sentiment and at the last minute popped up a few extra flowers for interest.
I'm not convinced about my colour combo though. Does the yellow work?

I {heart} you

It's my Wedding Anniversary next week - 29 years.
Yes, that makes me around 10 when we got married ;-)
Here's the card I made for Mr. Kiss.   Nice and simple - just like him... ha ha!

I don't know what you call this technique, when you die cut your shape and then insert a die cut back into it - but that's what I did. :-)
I was happy to use up a small scrap of dotty dp, but at this rate, I have enough paper to last me til I'm 110 !!

Then I stamped and die cut some more speech bubbles, and popped them up on foam pads to add some dimension.
A glitter heart, some gems and sequins and a piece of envelope washi tape, finished everything off.

Yay! You're preggers!

Isn't it lovely to hear some good news for a change.
My niece is expecting her first baby. We are delighted.
They don't want a fuss, but I couldn't resist a congrats card :-)

This cute Lola Rose image,  from Pink Petticoat , was perfect, and I printed her just off the edge of  my paper.
She's coloured with Copics, but don't look too closely, I haven't used them for a while.
I used some scraps of my all time favourite paper for the die cut sentiment and the thin strip of glitter down the right hand side.

Challenges.

Pixie's Playground - Use snippets

Addicted To Stamps - Make Your Mark

Huge thanks to those of you who left me a comment about my current bout of ennui.
