Don't worry, be happy

Hooray... it's Friday.    The weekend starts here   :-)
It's my dd  Annabel's birthday next week, so we are going to party.   Bring it on.  :-)

First, I need to calm down and show you my MUSE card for this week.

Cornelia's inspiration card is wonderful and vibrant but, unfortunately I don't have the inks to recreate that sort of colour, so mine is a bit more subdued.

My 'happy' die cut is 3 layers thick, so it does have some depth to it, and it's covered in Glossy Accents for shine.

Challenges.
Muse - Cornelia's inspiration card

Simon Says- Anything Goes.

Stamp- from See D's Piece of Cake.
Memento Inks - Dandelion, New Sprout, Orchid
'Happy' Die - Memory Box, with Glossy Accents

Just Me !

Hey everyone....
no card from me today.   Just a mug shot!!
Since I started my blog 6 years ago (doesn't time fly) I have always used a picture of my Suzie as my profile pic.
Now she has gone, it was time to make a change.
So here I am...   :-)

To brighten your day

Hey everyone,

Mr Kiss,  rushed out this morning to buy a couple of these chairs from B & Q (a bargain at only £10 each)
and since then, we have had nothing but torrential rain.
That's about right for the bank holiday weekend, isn't it?

Oh well, it gave me time to play in my craft room :-)

Here's a 'use it up' card.

Lurking at the bottom of my paper box I discovered a decoupage pad that had never been used.
It's full of die cuts that you use to 'build' a flower, but I popped out some shapes and used them on their own.
I wanted to mix the colours up so that my card was bright and cheerful.

For the smaller circles I used an everyday, office, hole punch and I popped some of the shapes up on foam pads
to add a bit of interest.

Celebrate good times

Hey everyone.
We are seriously watching the pennies here and I am banned from buying any craft supplies,
but I couldn't resist a few bags of  coloured sequins.
In my defence they only cost a few pounds, and they are soooo pretty!!

I really had to fight the urge to scatter them all over my Muse card.
Repeat after me... less is more... less is more...

I don't jave any zig-zag stamps or templates so, for that part of my card, I cut out some strips of grey, honeycomb dp and,
if you're a regular visitor, you'll know that I am 'florally challenged', so I replaced the bloom with stamped and die cut balloons, popped up on foam pads.

Here's my inspiration -  the MUSE challenge card from Marion

Supplies.
Clearly Besotted stamps and dies from the 'Make A Wish' set.
Memento inks, bahama blue, tangelo, rose bud
Pink Petticoat digi paper, honeycomb. Sequins and gems

You had me at hello

It's such a lovely day here in north Durham, that I snapped a picture of my card on the back lawn.
I just hope no-one was watching, when it was caught by a gust of wind, which sent me scurrying after it!

This card is for my brother John and my inspiration came from Therese's fabulous card over at the Muse challenge.

It's the first time I've tried this technique with the sentiment die (where you cut the die into your base card, then cut it again from coloured card and pop this piece into the space). I'm not sure I did it quite right - I should have kept the little pieces of white card from some of the letters - but, I like how it looks and I'll definitely be giving it another go.

Spring Flowers

Hey there.
Just a quick post from me tonight, with a little thank you card.

I know you've probably all made your own backgrounds before, but this was new to me.
I used a rectangle nestie, and an outline of my text stamp, to make a mask. Then I stamped the flowers at random. After removing the mask, I stamped the sentiment and then coloured the flowers with my Copics.
For a bit more interest,  I outlined the flowers with little dots and added some glitter.

Challenges.
Less Is More - One Layer, Thank You
One Layer Simplicity - Fabulous Flowers
Stamping Sensations - Anything Goes
A little Bit Crafty - Flower Power

Flower Stamps - Stampin' Up Doodle That

I made you a cake

Hello... I'm back.
But, it's not the same in my craft room without my partner in crime.
I miss glancing down and seeing Suzie, laying on the floor,
covered in a light dusting of glitter, with a gem or a pearl stuck to her nose!!

Here's a card for my SIL.

I needed a little inspiration today, so I headed over to Muse,
where I followed the general layout and colours of Vicki's gorgeous Mother's Day card.
(I flipped my image and text)

I know my SIL is trying to keep away from cakes at the moment,
so I hope this sentiment will make her laugh :-)

I'd also like to say a huge thank you to everyone that left a comment about Suzie.
It really helped me to know that so many of you were thinking of me.
