Great minds think a bike!

My home town, Harrogate, is hosting the final of the first stage of the Tour De France this July,
so I had bicycles on my mind, when I saw this week's challenges at
Addicted to CAS - Wheels - and Less Is More - Round and Round.

I took inspiration from CAS(E) this sketch-  substituting their square centre shape for my circle, to continue the round theme,
and added dimension to my card, by popping up some elements on foam pads.

Challenges -
CAS(E) this sketch - #70
Less Is More - Round and Round
Addicted to CAS - Wheels

Hero Arts Bicycle - Stamp and Die.     Memento Rose Bud Ink   Digi DP, Echo Park Country Life.

There is no such thing as enough glitter!

Yippeee... it's Friday.
Bring on the wine and Netflix  :-)

But first - a card.

This was one of those cards that turned out to be impossible to photograph well.
Honestly, I tried every setting on the camera, every room in the house - even the garden!
IRL the card is a very pale, peachy pink and the chandelier is beautifully sparkly.

The chandelier is stamped with white ink and embossed with WOW sparkling snow glitter.
I hope you can just make the sparkle out below.

Challenges.
CASology -  Blush
Stamping Sensations -  All In The Pink
Simone Says - Glitter It

Supplies.
HeroArts, chandelier stamp.   WOW sparkling snow embossing glitter
Glitter gems.  Sizzix border die.    Sentiment made on my comp.

What a hoot!

These little owls dropped onto my mat just one day after I'd ordered them.
How's that for service?
And so, of course, I wanted to play with them straight away.

In my haste, I botched up cutting the blue card (on the left side)
but just ignore that bit ;-)

My inspration came from this week's MUSE card,
and I'd also like to enter Stephanie's 'in flight' challenge, at Clearly Besotted
after all, the little owl is her creation :-)

Owl stamp from 'You're a Hoot' Clearly Besotted set, with co-ordinating die.
Hello Stamp -Stampendous 'Happy Messages'
Memento dew dropnink in, rose bud, summer sky and dendelion.
Scrap of woodgrain paper.  Sequins and gems.

Up, up and away!

Hey there,
hope you're all having a lovely weekend.
The TV is permanently tuned to Sky Sports, here - which is fine -
it gives me chance to disappear into my craft room :-)

Here's the card I made this morning.

I'm beginning to see the benefits of  making this size card base - 113 x 149
Stamps that I had neglected because they were just a tad too small for a 148 x 148 card, are now getting inked up.
This cute cat is a prime example. It had been tucked away for so long, that it was stuck to the plastic cover.
As I prised it off, I really though it was going to tear.  Have you ever had that? I almost took to warming it up with a hairdryer, but I thougt that might  make it worse!!

As you can see below, my cat is fussy cut and popped up on foam pads.

Challenges.
Retro Sketches - #106
Pixie's Snippets Playground - #116  If there's a dp I like, I find myself saving even the tiniest snippets. These little banners are a good way to use them up and add a touch of interest to your card.
Penny Black & More - So Sweet
Craft Calendar - Animal Antics

Supplies.
Cat Stamp from Penny Black Bubbly Set, coloured with Copics.
Sentiment, Penny Black Critter Party Set
DP - My Mind's Eye, Quite Contrary
Pearls and Sequin

Simple Woodgrain

Hey there.
Have you been playing along at CASology?
Every week they have a 'cue word',  which floats around in my head for a few days, before I get the flash of an idea.
This week the word is ROOTS

I went down the obvious path and used a woodgrain paper (Pink Petticoat),
taking inspiration from this week's MUSE card and using it as my base, with minimal additions.

Do you like the little pin? I found it in my bead box. That's the first time I've used one of those.
Are you supposed to cover the sharp end somehow?

Challenges.
CASology - Roots
Muse - #58

Monkey Business

So... it's monday morning and the sun is shining.
Time to put my whirly gig back out in the garden.
The only trouble is - I spent 10 minutes looking and I can't find the hole!!
Stop sniggering you lot  :o)

Here's my card for CAS(E) the Sketch.

I'm not totally happy with this card. I don't really like the dotty paper just plonked on like that.
Maybe I should have made it into a tag. Ah well, next time.

Supplies.
Digi Stamp - Bugaboo, coloured with Copics.
Dotty paper was just a scrap I found in my paper box.
I don't have a 'polaroid' style die, so I hand cut this one, with a craft knife.
'Happy' is a sizzix die. 'Birthday' is from HeroArts typewriter set.
Sewuins and Gems.

Just My Type

Shucks! Is it Friday already?
Where has the week gone?

I thought I'd start clearing out the loft on Monday.
So far, all I've managed to do is fill the living room with half opened boxes
and I haven't thrown a thing away!!

Here's another birthday card for the pile.

I made this for a guy - but now I've had another look at it, I'm not so sure.
What do you think?
