Just a little thankyou!

I have been wanting to make some little thankyou cards for a while now and when I saw Bev's fab tutorial for a little pizza box with notecards, I knew it would be perfect.
I have used some of my cute Anya stamps and it's my very first time entering the
Anyone for Anya Challenge.
This week there's a sketch for you to follow - I used it on the lid of my little pizza box.

My thankyou cards were made with the large scalloped rectangle nestie, which meant that I had to slightly alter the dimensions of Bev's pizza box.
I made it from a piece of card 10" x 6 1/4"
Score 1" in, on each long side, then turn the card and score at 1", 4.5", 5.5" and 9"
I forgot to cut a little semi circle into the front edge of the card, to make it easier to open, so I added a brad instead.
Now I realise that Ialso need to make some little envelopes, so it's back to the drawing board...lol*

Recipe:
Stamps - The Greeting Farm, Miss Anya Dressy, coloured with Copics.
Design Paper - Papermania Signature, Regency.
Stick on pearls and thankyou text.

Ronnie Relaxing

I know it's a while off yet, but isn't this the most perfect image for a Father's Day card?
This is the fabulous 'Ronnie Relaxing', drawn by the very talented Paula, from Pollycraft,
as a special charity edition in memory of Emma's Dad, who tragically died after an accident at work. ALL proceeds from the sale of this image will go to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Charity.
This is a great charity and such a fab image that purchasing it is a win win!!
Emma also has some great prizes on offer for anyone entering her challenge and using this image on their project. Check out her blog and you have until Wednesday May 5th to enter.

I'm not very good at colouring large areas and I didn't want to mess up this image, so I paper pieced the armchair. The rest is coloured with copics.
Design Paper is Cardmakers Earth Palette.
Text and Tag Embellies are Cardmakers Instant Art, Earth Palette.
Brads from my stash.

Yo.. ho.. ho!

This was one of those cards that was perfect in my head, I just couldn't seem to get it down on paper. To be honest, the more I look at it, the less I like it!! Sometimes you just need to step away, don't you?
Anyhoo, I am entering it for this week's challenge at Pollycraft, where I followed the great sketch by Sue. Head on over there and check out the fab DT work that show off the fabulous Pollycraft images. You dont have to use a Pollycraft image to join in with the challenge, but if you do you could be picked as a 'Pollycraft Favourite'.

I used Pirate Ethan as my image, which was a Friday Freebie from the Pollycraft Blog. He was coloured with Copics.
I made the little treasure map myself, and distressed the edges.
The skull and crossbones flag was from an online colouring site, scaled down to fit my card.
Design Paper is My Mind's Eye, Wild Asparagus.
Brads and corner pieces from my stash.

Let some sunshine in

I had a call today to say that my SIL has been rushed into hospital
and is having tests to see what is wrong. So, although this card was going to be a thankyou card,
(as the optional extra challenge over at Just Magnolia) I changed it to Get Well Soon.
I have followed Mina's excellent sketch though, so I am still in with a chance of winning the fabulous Simon Says prize.

Recipe:
Stamp - Magnolia, Tilda with Flower, couloured with Copics and paper pieced.
Design Paper - Papermania Capsule Collection, Sunshine
Get Well Soon Stamp - Personal Impressions
Blooms, Ribbon, and Bow from my stash.

Prince Ian

Paper piecing is one of my favourite things to do, and this week over at
Digital Tuesday
the challenge is to paper piece a digital image.
The image I chose was Prince Ian, from The Greeting Farm
and I pieced his little top and trousers in green with white spots.

This is also my first attempt at a Tri Fold Shutter card - and they are sooo easy to make.
I followed the excellent instructions by Bonnie at Splitcoaststampers
I just made my overall card slightly larger at 6.5" x 12"

I wasn't sure that the quote in the middle really fitted,
(I tried to convince myself that Prince Ian was dressed as a shakesperean actor, so it was fine)
but this card is for my hubby,
so he probably won't read that bit anyway!!!
:-)
Recipe:
Digital Image - Prince Ian from The Greeting Farm, paper pieced and coloured with Copics.
Design Paper - Dovecraft Masculine.
Quote from DCWV Rub on Quotes 'Love'.
Corners, brads, buttons and birthday tag from my stash.
